Lovecraftian Roleplaying in the Gilded Rage
There are no storm clouds on the horizon. They’re all right overhead, along with all the late omens of today’s Armageddon. Mayhap you were conscripted into one of the great cult wars of 1914. Or perhaps you were fortunate enough to avoid the shrieking cries of writhing gods long enough to get a job, a diploma, an automobile, in time for it to be devoured by shambling horrors. The days aren’t numbered… everyone stopped counting. Great old gods awaken by the day, casting their dark eyes upon you, sending their courtiers to flay the faith from your bones as you reload your Thompson gun. All the clues in the world couldn’t tell you one simple fact… it’s already too late. What you do now is up to you…
Welcome to The Gilded Rage…
Eldritch Borg is a fast-paced, old-school roleplaying game built for investigation, exploration, and laughable despair. Merging the grimdark of Mork Borg with the canon of H.P. Lovecraft, players should expect to pilot 1920s archetypes into forgotten caverns, manors, and sewers all while losing their sanity. The relatively simplified systems of Eldritch Borg are meant to inspire eerie urban dungeon crawls, conversations with babbling non-player-characters, and thrilling last stands full of gunpowder, moonshine, and sickening sorcery.
Embark on the hunt as one of 8 Cursed Classes: Detectives, Gangsters, Damned, Devoted, Archeologists, Scholars, Performers, and Socialites!
Grapple with the malformed offspring of the dark gods, including Shoggoths, Deep Ones, Shamblers from the Stars, and many more! Or, test your luck and generate a random horror to devour the souls of your intrepid party!
DISCLAIMER: This game is an exercise in pseudo-modern pulp-fictional myth-making, dialing the real world 1920s-1930s to their fantastical highest setting. This game does not encourage a resurrection of the values, ideals, and practices of so many hateful people present in the time period, even in jest. Nor does this game exalt the racist and otherwise prejudiced beliefs of H.P. Lovecraft.
